How A Safety Swimming Vest Helps Parents Enjoy Peace Of Mind

Without attending swim classes, having no swim coach, nor being enrolled in a structured swim lesson.

Just a safety swim vest and a responsible mother who knows her kids learn best when they feel safe and in a nurturing environment, her son conquered water confidence at only 2 years old. It really is something special!

Young Kids Are Mobile & Fearless

A little boy in his toddler years, named Omar, is wearing a kid’s life jacket from Sauf Vest. This child’s classy life vest collection from the Henna series, with color selection, Bluesage size 9-14 kg, captured in footage taken by his mother, a momfluencer Anisnashwa on August 30, 2025.

Omar is 2 years and 7 months old, enjoying a family weekend getaway at Natural River, Sungai Kedondong, Batang Kali, Selangor. He’s giggling while floating calmly in the rocky river. His mother and grandfather are smiling and supervising as Omar plays confidently through the river.

During this footage is taken, Omar is at his weight of 11kg – 12kg, an ideal weight to control his Sauf life jacket floating position; either to float on his tummy (front floating) or float on his backside (back floating)

This is not the first attempt; little Omar is enjoying water activities with a Sauf life vest. Omar has been wearing the Sauf safety swimming jacket since August 2024, when he was 1 year 7 months old. This means Omar has been wearing the Sauf vest often for 1 year, and he’s gaining confidence in the water during the family water holidays!

The Parent Who Came Prepared

Little Omar’s mother decided to prepare his son as early as his first birthday. Because she understands, confidence in the water develops by exposing her kids to various water environments, not only a swimming pool, but also the beach, river, during a boat ride, and more.

She knows her son has to be comfortable and get used to his own personal flotation device PFD, only then will he know how to control and react whenever he’s in a dangerous situation in the water, just like how Omar demonstrated in the video!

Harvard child development researcher Burton White emphasized that parents play the most influential role in a child’s early learning. Long before children enter school, they develop confidence, habits, and life skills through everyday experiences with their families.

That’s what Omar’s parents did! Deciding to teach water safety at home and during family outings, can be a lifelong gift and benefit for their child. By helping their children discover confidence in the water, they can enjoy holidays with peace of mind.
